Gurupoornima (Guru's day)
Gurupoornima is an important day for all of us to show our gratitude to the master who had blessed
us and imparted knowledge of the inner self. Every year it is celebrated in presence of Shree Swamiji.
Gurupurnima'2007 Message - H. H. Shivkrupanand Swami
Blessings to all pious souls,
Generally when we start our journey with someone; we know, we understand that individual before we start following him. It is not enough just to follow that individual. You are neither bound with my physical body nor have I tied you with any chain. That means bondage between us is not at “Physical level”. Basically, if you will understand this, you will understand what I am telling you further. The bond between you and me is at “Soul level”. And body is not very important when bond is at Soul level.
It makes no difference where my physical body is or where your physical body is. Physically I may be very far off from you but I am very close to you with my Chitta (attention). I am always worried, whether children at distant places who are busy doing Gurukarya are getting their meal at noon or not as those who are closer will demand it anyways. Illusion of my physical body does not allow you to see what is beyond this physical body, what is behind this physical body. This is a Golden opportunity for you to see beyond this physical body, to take your attention on that “Subtle body”; this mortal body is just a medium.
You have to understand that “Subtle body”. Only because of that “subtle body”, thousands of people get attracted towards this physical body. Even if you will try to think why you get attracted, you will be able reach to the Subtle body. Today is the day to establish relationship with that “Subtle body”. It is my pure wish that you all succeed in establishing bond with that “Subtle body”.
Yours,
Baba Swami

Gurupurnima'2006 Message - H. H. Shivkrupanand Swami
Namaskar to all pious souls..... There must be some reason or another for all of you to get
into Samarpan meditation; it may be some problem in your life, some physical illness or some other
problem and if it is not because of any of these reasons, it may be due to your good deeds in previous
births that you have come on this path for self elevation. Just as thoughtless state is achieved during
meditation, similarly, now you have to put out of your mind (forget) all the paths that caused you to
reach to this Meditation. Those were just the causes, or were people walking by on the path; that was
not the destination, the destination was Meditation. Today, if we still keep remembering that path or
the people walking by on that path, we will not be able to feel the joy of reaching our destination.
We have to surrender our past of this life. We have to surrender those bad memories, those people,
and those incidents, and we have to surrender them completely. This will strengthen the base on the
meditation path. On the other hand, we have to overcome fear and temptation, as this temptation can
divert our mind (Chitta) and distance us from meditation. I have to get this, life has to be lead in
this manner, I did not get this; all these feelings are temptations. This pollutes our Chitta. There
should be no place for hatred or temptation in your Chitta; it should attain a state of zero
(nothingness). Saint Kabirdasji says: “Neither have friendship nor have enmity with anybody” Have no
feeling of enmity or love towards any individual. All feelings such as good will or ill will should
come to an end.
This auspicious festival day of Gurupurnima can only be considered worthwhile in true sense if
you will surrender your pure Chitta as if it is an offering flower at the Lotus feet of Guru.
You should make a resolution from today onwards that, “I shall not pollute my Chitta with any
kind of hatred or with temptation as I have to offer my Chitta at the Lotus feet of Guru” This is
because we wish to celebrate Gurupurnima of year 2007 with Pure Chitta. So utilize this year to
purify your Chitta.
On the auspicious occasion of Gurupurnima, there is nothing more valuable to surrender at the
Lotus feet of Guru than this flower. Let us offer this flower to experience the inner joy of life.
With these well wishes…
Yours, Baba Swami
